Pakistan Bus Crash Kills 28

Pakistani officials say a bus carrying school children from a field trip in Punjab province overturned late Monday, killing at least 26 children and two adults.

Local police say more than 40 other people on the bus were injured in the accident on the main motorway in Kalar Kahar, east of the capital, Islamabad.

Road accidents are common in Pakistan due to poorly-maintained roads and vehicles, and reckless driving.
