ALBANY, Feb. 28.—Assemblyman Egan to-day introduced a bill to regulate contacts for street pavements in New York City. The bill provides that all contracts hereafter awarded shall contain provisions that after the work has been completed the contractor shall maintain the paving in good condition for a period of one year. At the end of one year all paving work shall be finally inspected prior to its acceptance, and that if it is found unsatisfactory, the city shall proceed to put it in the condition required and shall deduct the cost from the money withheld under contract.
