De Palma Begins Ten-Day Jail Sentence for Speeding

FRESNO, Cal., Dec. 4.—Ralph De Palma, automobile racer, surrendered to the sheriff at Madera, Cal., today and began serving a ten-day sentence for speeding at Chowchilla last month. He carried two suitcases containing clothing and personal effects when he entered the jail. De Palma had received a stay of sentence until after his last race of the year.
