Husband Recovers Damages From Automobile Driver.

A jury before Supreme Court Justice Selah B. Strong in Brooklyn awarded a verdict of $35,000 yesterday to Isadore Sigkoff of 4 Lewis Place, Brooklyn, for the death of his wife, Rose, in an automobile accident.  The defendant was Charles Schachne, owner of an office fixture business in Manhattan.

Sigkoff brought the action as administrator of the estate of his wife.  Mrs. Sigkoff and a friend named Mrs. Schlager were struck by an automobile driven by Schachne on Ocean Parkway, near the Sigkoff home about five months ago.  Mrs. Sigkoff was almost instantly killed, and Mrs. Schlager was severely injured.  Schachne contended that it was raining at the time and that his vision was obscured.
