$100 and $200 Reductions Are Made as Dividend is Raised.

Special to The New York Times.

DETROIT, Dec. 11.—Simultaneous announcement was made today by the Hudson Motor Car Company of an increased dividend and a reduction in price of Hudson and Essex cars. The Directors declared, besides the usual quarterly dividend of 50 cents a share, payable Jan. 2 to stockholders of record Dec. 22.

The prices of the Hudson speedster, passenger car and coach car were reduced $100 to $1,425, $1,475 and $1,525 respectively, while the price of the sedan was reduced $200 to $2,095. The Essex coach had its price reduced from $1,245 to $1,145.

The company officials believe that these prices hit low mark and that if there is any price change in 1923 it will be upward.
