NEW PORTABLE VACUUM TOOL SYSTEM
Florida Automotive Journal
December 1970
A new portable vacuum tool system has been announced by Detroit Autobody Equipment Co. Called "Anchorman," the system comes in two models and allows you to pull panels from almost any location in the shop. Anchorman has been field tested in body shops over 2 years and comes in two models, the model 30 with 9000 pounds of anchoring power, and the model 29 with 3000 pounds. Both models are a complete system of three tools in one, a puller post, floor anchor, and hand panel cup.
An important feature of Anchorman is its exclusive triple - lip seal that makes a multiple surfaced contact to accommodate bad flooring conditions. A central rib bears directly on the floor to keep inner and outer seals at an optimum level, assuring a no - leak grip on almost any flooring surface. Another feature is the well - designed venturi - evacuator. It creates a powerful vacuum with no moving parts and uses only about one - fourth the air used by a standard paint spray gun.
Rugged all - steel construction assures longer life than aluminum castings, and built - in wheels allow it to be moved easily from one job to another. Anchorman adds profit from the first day since it pays for itself in bout six average jobs.
