Service Award
Florida Automotive Journal
December 1970
This month's award for "outstanding service to the public" by a representative of the automobile industry, goes to BING'S EDGEWATER 66, 2905 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Fla.
Our representative stopped for gasoline. On returning from a clean rest room one attendant was wiping the rear window, the other vacuuming the car. They announced that your oil, water, and battery are o.k. sir. On paying for purchase the attendant have green stamps voluntarily, and asked if cash receipt was needed. The representative pulled away from the gas pumps and was invited to return by the attendant. We watched the station while four other customers got the same treatment.
This is a dealer owned Phillips 66 station, operated by Bing Cruz with Joe Queen, M.W. Moore and Larry Hill assisting. They are a member of the Edgewater Park Merchant's Association and a credit to the automotive service industry.
Courteous service, a carefully planned front, adequate stock and conscientious advice to customers lead to an award winning operation.
