LAS VEGAS –  The record-shattering ET John Stanley laid down in TheEFIStore.com Outlaw Pro Mod class Friday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway held Saturday at the Pacific Street Car Association's Street Car Super Nationals IX, giving the Hagerstown, Md., native top qualifier honors with his 5.644-second pass. While a couple drivers, including Stanley, flirted with topping the quickest-ever doorslammer pass, there was no real danger of the mark falling. Eric Dillard, driving Jose Gonzalez's "El General" car qualified second while defending event winner and 2012 NHRA Pro Mod champion Troy Coughlin qualified third.

In the Precision Pro Mod class, Scott Oksas was able to improve his provisional No. 1 late Saturday afternoon with a 5.888-second run that guaranteed him the P1 spot on Sunday. Other notables on Saturday included Krusty Ramsey, the only driver in the Steve Schmidt Outlaw 8.5 class to run in the fours, topping the charts with a 4.985-second lap.
