MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (February 14, 2014) - - Veteran racer Matt Carter will make his long awaited return to the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) next weekend at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway driving for the newly formed JGL Racing.
Carter, a native of Denver, North Carolina will pilot the No. 93 Lone Survivor Foundation (LSF) / Guardian Digital Forensics Dodge in hopes of making his second career NNS start at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. In 2009, the former ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards rookie of the year drafted to a lead lap 15th place finish.
With strong support from the LSF and Guardian Digital Forensics, the son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series crew chief and car owner Travis Carter is optimistic about making his first NASCAR national series start since Kentucky Speedway in 2012.
“I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity with JGL Racing and my supporters Lone Survivor Foundation and Guardian Digital Forensics,” said Carter. “I was satisfied with our results in the open test at Daytona last month and hope the changes we made since then will benefit us next week.”
