Yonkers Autoist Says New York Officer Solicited Bribe.

Motorcycle Policeman Edward N. Sands of the Kings Bridge Station, New York, was summoned yesterday to appear before Judge Charles W. Boote in the City Court, Yonkers, tomorrow to answer a bribery charge preferred against him by Lawrence Donahue of 52 Cliff Avenue, Yonkers.

Donahue's complaint alleges that he was pursued to Yonkers in his automobile last week by the motorcycle policeman, who offered to release him on a speeding charge for $25.  When he refused, Donahue avers, Sands threatened him with a pistol and summoned him to the Washington Heights Court, New York, where on Monday Magistrate Cobb dismissed the speeding charge for lack of jurisdiction.
