Winthrop E. Scarrett lectured at the opening of the new term of the Bedford Branch Automobile School of Brooklyn Friday night on "The Automobile. What Is It?" Mr. Scarrett is well known in automobile circles as the former President of the Automobile Club of America, and is now President of the Governing Board of that organization. The school has increased its usefulness by the enlargement of its equipment in the way of cars, motors, and accessories. The course has also been improved in a way to meet the requirements of every class of students. Classes are now held mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Private classes and classes for ladies are held in the mornings.
