Indianapolis Motordrome to be Completed This Week.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Dec. 5.—When a silver brick, gold plated, is laid this week the gigantic undertaking of paving the Indianapolis motor speedway with vitrified bricks will be completed.  Besides laying the 3,500,000 bricks in concrete, they have been covered with cement, which gives the track a smooth, even surface.

The cost of the speedway to date is $700,000.  Since the August meeting new stands, new garages, and an aerodrome have been added, and nothing has been spared to make the plant complete every detail.

Record trials on the new track will be held Dec. 17 and 18, and Director of Contests E. A. Moross expects about thirty cars to be entered.
