Eight Months in Jail for Defendants in Suffolk County.

RIVERHEAD, L. I., April 23.—The Suffolk Contracting Company and the six other defendants convicted last Saturday of conspiracy in connection with the building of Patchogue- Coram State Road, were sentenced by Justice Kapper to-day in the Supreme Court.

The company was fined $500.  Daniel E. Lynch, its President, John Huber, Frederick J. Kinney, and Michael Scanlon; members Leigh Robartes, State Highway Engineer, and Spencer J. Stewart,  division engineer, were each sentenced to eight months in the Suffolk County Jail.

The defendants got a certificate of reasonable doubt and each gave $5,000 bail.
