Money for Improvement of Roads.
The New York Times

Special to The New York Times.

ALBANY, May 21.—Under the Fuller law of 1898, to encourage rural districts to raise their road tax in money, spend it on highways, and abolish the old "working out" road tax system by the farmers, State Controller Morgan has drawn his warrants for the grand total of $53,897, which is divided among fifteen counties, Westchester being the greatest, $13,886. New York State pays 25 per cent. of the cost of the improvements.
