MOTOR CARS AND BULLFIGHTS.
The New York Times
London Times—New York Times Special Cablegram.
LONDON, Oct. 1.—The Paris correspondent of the Times says that at the bull fight in Bayonne on Sunday the motor car used by the principal caballero had protected wheels and a well-sheltered driver. All the Bulls refused to take the offensive. The correspondent remarks that, this might be a good way to make bull fights ridiculous, and so rid France of the custom. He adds, however, that the French, who protest against bull fights on the soil of their own country, have lately been introducing them in Madagascar.
