YONKERS, Dec. 21.—Patrolman Edwin Sands of the New York City Police Department was vindicated today in City Court of an informal accusation made by Lawrence Donohue that Sands asked for a bribe. Sands, by request of the court officials, appeared voluntarily. According to court attendants Donohue alleged that after pursuing Donohue's automobile from the Bronx into Yonkers the patrolman asked him for $25. This Sands indignantly denied and later Donohue withdrew the matter.
