New Hyundai Tiburon: With A Little More Spice

Terry Brown
August 3, 2006

The most recent Guangzhou Motor Show became the venue for Hyundai to present to the motoring public the newest version of the Hyundai Tiburon. And matched with the finest Hyundai Tiburon performance parts, any auto lover would know not to expect much less.

The newest Hyundai Tiburon model now features a redesign which is still subtle compared to the drastic changes that other auto makers do with their creations. However, the subtle changes for the Hyundai Tiburon do not necessarily equate to lesser appeal and an overall look that does not seem to change at all. These new change done to the vehicle has been made specifically so as to bring out and emphasize the hidden elements that the Hyundai Tiburon has in store. Now, you can find some minute changes to the front and the rear of the vehicle which can make your overall view of the vehicle seem different.

Made standard for the Hyundai Tiburon is a 2.0 liter DOHC engine with sixteen valves and has also been coupled up with the Continuously Variable Valve Timing. This car now also possesses either a five speed manual transmission or a four speed automatic transmission which has been specially crafted with the Hyundai Shiftronic semi automatic gear selector for easier and more adventurous driving.

Created by the Hyundai Motor Company, the Hyundai Tiburon started out its humble beginnings back in 1996. It took the spot that used to belong to the Hyundai Scoupe. It is a sport compact vehicle and has been built as a coupe with two doors. Lovingly dubbed as ‘Tib’ or ‘Tibby’, this vehicle sure has found competition with the Nissan 350Z, Mazda RX-8, Scion tC, and the Mitsubishi Eclipse. The Hyundai Tiburon has also been marketed in various names like Turbulence for the South Korea auto market, and the Coupe in other markets aside from North America, Australia and Austria.
