Different people, different perspectives; to a pragmatic person, a vehicle is just another means to get from his point of origin to his destination. To someone who appreciates good design, a well-thought out car design is an example of beauty in motion. Still, to someone who prefers to crunch numbers, a car is measured by its performance. And then there's the Nissan Pathfinder.
In its latest iteration, the Pathfinder is an outstanding amalgamation of performance, design and technology.
The 2013 Pathfinder boasts of a mileage of 26 miles to a gallon. In these times when the price of fuel continues to skyrocket, that is no small feat. The SUV achieves this by trimming down its weight right from its frame down to its climate control system. Noticeable, too, is its redesign to make it more aerodynamic. Plus, the Pathfinder is equipped with the Xtronic CVT, one of Nissan's most efficient and advanced transmission systems.
Inside, the Pathfinder is one of the roomiest vehicles you'll ever ride, ensuring that you and your family are comfy whether you're out for a quick ride to the mall or out for a long road trip. With the Nissan's EZ Flex Seating System, the Pathfinder can comfortably seat up to seven passengers without scrimping on storage capacity.
On long road trips, your passengers need not be worried about being bored for the ride. With the Tri-Zone Entertainment system, your passengers can watch movies, play video games, listen to music and even plug their laptops to dual 7" DVD monitors.
To ensure your and your family's safety, Nissan has thoughtfully installed its Drive-Assist Display in front of the driver's gauge cluster. This means that while you try to navigate your journey, you'll still be able to keep your eyes on the road. This 4.2" monitor also enables you to monitor your car's performance. With the Pathfinder's Navigation, you can handily perform tasks hands-free. This includes turn-by-turn voice guidance and a Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System.
With the 2013 Pathfinder, safety is never an afterthought. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System and the Easy-Fill Tire Alert ensure that your tires are filled with the right pressure. On the other hand, the Vehicle Dynamic Control ensures that when you make an unexpected turn, the Pathfinder reacts accordingly by reducing engine output and applying brake pressure so you can respond to the situation accordingly. Ditto with the SUV's braking system; the Anti-Lock Braking System ensures that you can manoeuvre your vehicle to safety even when you hit the brakes.
On the other hand, the Brake Assist/Electronic Brake Force Distribution can detect an emergency situation so that brake force is evenly distributed. For efficiency, Nissan has installed the Pathfinder the Traction Control System which either reduces the unnecessary spinning of tires or applies brakes on individual wheels.
