Drinking and Driving is Dangerous For Young People

It is not major secret to anyone, or at least it shouldn't be. But drinking and driving is dangerous. It might not seem like something that needs to be said, but strangely enough, it is. People still need to be told because there are still many people that get arrested for it every day. That alone is enough to make a person worry.

And why is it that something that seems as if it should be such common sense, needs to be told to people over and over again? It is very simple, because people like to drink. That's right. Drinking is part of the American society and the way we live. Think about it, alcohol has been brewed in America since before the Mayflower hit this country's shores.

And since then people have been making alcohol in one way or another. Even to the point where it was made illegal and people still continued to make and distribute it even though the police and government agents would chase and shoot at them. It is amazing that people would go through such hassles and dangers just to get a drink. The proof exists in every bar at late hours of the night. They are packed, especially on weekends.

Just like back then, today people still go to the bar every weekend and when they get there, they drink. They do not think, or most people don't think, about how they will get home until after they need to start heading that way. They do not consider a designated driver until they actually need one. But at that point it is too late.

The smart one's however do consider a designated driver. They are the one's who make it home safely and do not endanger anyone else. That is the biggest problem with the dangers of this problem. Because through the last 20 years or so the saddest part about any accident caused by someone who was drinking is the innocent person who ends up getting hurt or killed.

It is a very common problem. People drink, they drive, and they crash. When they do, a lot of time the person who was drinking ends up barely injured. However the person that gets hit usually ends up critically injured or even dead. This usually happens because the person drinking has a delayed reaction time.

There is a theory that when involved in an accident that the person with the high alcohol content has a limp body during the accident. Because of that their body does not create any force against the hard parts of the car when impacted. This supposedly helps them to not break any bones or get hurt too badly.

In every case, drinking and driving is dangerous. There is not one situation in which anyone can say that there is a good and sound reason for doing it. Anytime someone does something so stupid they should be punished and they are. The laws are very strict against such actions as they should be.
