The Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Jeffrey Runge, MD, will hold a news conference to announce "Ease of Use" Child Safety Seat Ratings at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
Adrian Lund, Chief Operating Officer of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and David Pittle, Senior Vice President and Technical Director for Consumers Union, will also participate in the press conference.
The child safety seat "ease of use" rating system was mandated by the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability, and Documentation (TREAD) Act of 2000.
