Can you possibly guide me in the right direction to research a original invoice that was found in the car door.
It lists all the parts with code #’s , and towards the bottom it says HOLLYWOOD EXPO . We have been trying to research the car, but both the plant, and dealership are long gone. Any ideas?
Hello! I have recently found your site and noticed you have some good crash test data. I had a couple questions I hope you could help me answer. I am an accident reconstructionist and use crash tests all the time, however the rear impact tests are getting hard to find.
Where do you get you’re NHTSA rear impact crash tests from? You have many rear crash tests (FMVSS 301R) that are not available on the NHTSA website.
Are there any video footage of these tests available to you?
Are there any data plots of these tests available to you?
Good work on the website, and thanks in advance for your help.
Hello Jeremy!
The NHTSA website isn't the best for navigating around and it's hard to search for files because they're behind search functions. That's part of why I'm trying to take what I can and make it more accessible on my site.
The Compliance Testing Database is at http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/problems/comply/ and that's where you can find the FMVSS compliance reports.
The videos are in the Vehicle & Crash Test Database, which can be accessed from http://www.nhtsa.gov/Research/Databases+and+Software
The only resource I'm short of is time, I'm just one guy in a basement working on this in my spare time and trying to keep up with an army of PR writers and government workers. It feels like trying to bail out the ocean with a solo cup!
But I'm always interested in new sources, if you guys have press releases or court documents that can be publicly published, I'd be interested in adding them to the collection.
Hope this helps!
