There has been an unprecedented demand for cars to rent during the Hudson-Fulton Celebration, says Clyde E. Bandman of the Packard Car Livery Company, 1547 Broadway. Mr. Bandman says that it is cheaper to rent a car now than to own one, as the cost of maintenance to the individual owner is so great. A company renting on a large scale and operating high-class cars can minimize the cost of maintenance, he says.
