On Thursday, November 4, fifteen women were honored as "Distinguished Women" of the United States for their contributions to business, education and to their individual communities by Northwood Institute at a "Distinguished Women's Award" luncheon at The Pierre in New York.

Northwood Institute is a young, private, coeducational, business-oriented college which provides two-year and four-year management programs for business and industry. They have campuses at Midland, Michigan; Cedar Hill, Texas; and West Baden, Indiana; extension courses in South America and a program overseas. Students are enrolled from all over the United States and many foreign countries.

Among the fifteen women honored was Dottie Ross, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Automotive Organization Team (formerly Automotive Old Timers), a national organization for people in the automotive industry. AOT is now headquartered on the campus of Northwood Institute, Midland, Michigan; and they have just established their AOT HALL OF FAME in Jordan Hall, as well as placing pictures of the recipients of the AOT Distinguished Service Citation from 1940 to present date.

Dottie Ross is not a stranger to the automotive field. She served a fifteen-year term with American Automobile Association, Washington, D.C., as supervisor of the Reservation Department. In 1963 she came to AOT as Administrative Assistant and from that time has been the leader for the national organization. During this period many new goals have been accomplished.
