Members of the Illinois and Wisconsin Regions and their guests enjoyed good weather and a good time October 15-17, 1971 on the 1971 State Line Fall Tour, sponsored by the Waukegan Chapter. Headquarters were at the Illinois Beach State Park Lodge on Lake Michigan near Zion, Illinois.
Saturday morning, 50 brass, antique and classic cars participated in a day-long tour which included visits to Shiloh House; John Davidson's Wayside Park (for coffee and doughnuts); the town of Wilmot, Wisconsin for shopping; lunch at Hunt's Country Club in Richmond, Illinois; and Zion Station, Commonwealth Edison's nuclear plant which is nearing completion on Lake Michigan. In the evening, nearly 100 people attended a dinner at the Lodge.
