CITY CLUB WORK REVIEWED.

CITY CLUB WORK REVIEWED.

The New York Times
November 21, 1922

Auto Accident Insurance Bill Called Its Most Important Legislation.

The work of the City Club during the last year was reviewed at the club's annual meeting last night by Joseph M. Price, Chairman of the club's Board of Trustees. According to Mr. Price, the most important piece of constructive legislation sponsored by the club was the Automobile Accident Insurance bill, which was described as a measure of fundamental character, following largely the lines of workmen's compensation legislation. Among the subjects dealt with by the club during the last year were port development, housing, transit, parks and recreation, elimination of waste in State printing and opposition to the soldiers' bonus.

Secretary Raymond V. Ingersoll outlined work that is being planned for this year and mentioned a series of public meetings to be held at the Town Hall jointly with the Women's City Club. The first meeting will be held Monday evening, Nov. 27. The subject will be "Coal," and Senator William E. Borah will be the principal speaker.

Optimism was expressed regarding the probable passage by the Legislature at its coming session of the reconstruction constitutional amendments.
