Publisher Held as Speeder After Grazing Motorcycle.

Charged with speeding and driving his automobile recklessly while in an intoxicated condition, Percy R. Williams of 194 Riverside Drive was locked up in the West Forty-seventh Street Station last night. He said he lived at the Hotel Deshler, Columbus, Ohio, where he said he was General Manager of the Universal Publishing Company. He was arrested by Motorcycle Policeman Francis Werner.

Werner said he was riding north on Tenth Avenue when near Fifty-fourth Street an automobile, driven by Williams, speeding south on the wrong side of the street. He escaped unhurt and set out in pursuit. At Fifteenth Street he overtook Williams and placed him under arrest.
