Indianapolis, IN – Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA) announced today that Charter Media will be an associate sponsor of the No. 98 Honda-powered entry driven by Jack Hawksworth in the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series, and will be primary sponsor for the St. Pete weekend as the team and Charter kick off this year’s charge.

Just last week, Hawksworth completed a successful open test at Barber Motorsports Park, running 100 laps total and finishing in 12th place. The 23-year-old Bradford, West Yorkshire native had the highest rookie results.

The new Charter Media livery was unveiled at the two-day test and will be featured this weekend at the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series season opener. The branding will be visible on the No. 98 car’s sidepods during select races in 2014, and on the front wing end plates of the entry for the complete season.

Starting on Friday, Hawksworth and the BHA crew will have three practice sessions on the 1.8-mile, 14-turn St. Petersburg street circuit. Qualifications will take place on Saturday, March 29 and then the green flag drops for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg at 3:20 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 30.

“I’m really looking forward to getting the season started this weekend in St. Pete,” said Hawksworth. “It’s a track I’ve been successful at in the lower racing categories and I also lived there during the 2012 season. It’s certainly an event that I enjoy a lot.

“Coming into the race weekend, we have had a couple of solid tests and I think we should be in pretty good shape to start the season. The track is quite short – low grip but still technical. We’ll have to work hard and execute a clean weekend but if we can do this, then we’ll be in with a shout.”

Team owner Bryan Herta added, “The season is finally here and the hard work from the guys in the shop, our partners at Honda, and our driver Jack Hawksworth are ready to be put to the test. With substantial support from Charter, we are looking forward to a strong weekend.”

Charter Media offers multi-screen advertising solutions for businesses. With a full range of products and services, the goal is to maximize advertising budgets for businesses of all sizes. The company believes that, more than ever before, advertisers can reach audiences with compelling messages by harnessing the power of television.

Charter Media is a long-time supporter of teams in the premier American open-wheel series and BHA is proud to be part of a continued partnership with the advertising solutions company.
