Sebastian Saavedra set a time of 1:06.6555 and will start on the second row behind rookie Jan Heylen and pole sitter James Hinchcliffe. Stefan Wilson was running well before he hit the wall in turn 8 ending his qualifying run. He will start 14th with a time of 1:08.3320.
