Long Beach, CA – Taking to the streets of Long Beach for his very first Firestone Indy Lights race, Nick Andries finished the weekend strong in his Tbolt™ car on Sunday.

Starting the race in P10, Andries pitted during the race after experiencing some handling issues. After the No. 28 Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb Agajanian crew made adjustments to the Tbolt / Barracuda Networks car, Andries was able to post very competitive lap times. Unfortunately due to the stop, he finished the race in P13 but was very pleased with all the experience he gained from the weekend.

“We had a good weekend in our Indy Lights debut,” said Andries. “I think I accomplished just what I wanted to do: learn the car and get laps. Since we haven’t done much testing, the most important thing for me was to bring the car home in one piece and learn as much as I could. There are a lot of good guys in the Firestone Indy Lights Series so it will take a little time to get up to speed.

“I’m so thankful to the Tbolt™ brand and Barracuda Networks for all the opportunities this weekend and I can’t wait to be back in the car.”

The Firestone Indy Lights field now heads into the most prestigious race of the season: the Freedom 100 on Friday, May 25 at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
