Pella, IA – Anders Krohn returned to the Firestone Indy Lights grid for the Sukup100 on Saturday night at Iowa Speedway. Starting the race P10, “The Viking” competed in a tough battle before earning a ninth-place finish under the lights of the 0.875-mile oval.
A rain delay forced the Firestone Indy Lights Series to race after the IZOD IndyCar Iowa Corn 250. The green flagged dropped right around 12 a.m. CST, and “The Viking” raced hard and smart to end the 115-lap race in P9.
Through the race weekend, Krohn was aiming to create awareness for the I-Tec and Yellow Jacket ‘Wanna Frac More?’ campaign, showcasing their supreme technology in Hydraulic Fracturing. Premiere Glass & Mirror was an additional sponsor on the Bryan Herta Autosport No. 28 car. This was Krohn’s second ride of the season, and the Norwegian driver was very happy to be back in the car with BHA.
“All in all, it was a tough weekend, but good effort by the whole Bryan Herta Autosport team,” said Krohn. “They tried their best and I think we had a good set up on the car. We were just lacking some speed. We gave it our all.
“I want to thank Bryan Herta Autosport for this fantastic opportunity to be back with them and I really hope this can be continued, not only for this season but for 2013 as well. I’m just really pleased to be reunited with BHA, and hope we can go out and dominate in the future.”
In two weeks, Firestone Indy Light Series will head north to the streets of Toronto for the 50-lap race on July 7th. Pre-race activities are scheduled for 3:45 p.m. ET with an estimated green flag at 4 p.m.
