Leeds, AL – Barracuda Racing unveiled Oasis sponsorship and branding today at the 2013 IndyCar Spring Training test. Lassonde and Oasis Juices will join the team as an associate sponsor for the season.

The Quebec-based fruit and vegetable juice manufacturer began their foray into IndyCar as a personal sponsor of Tagliani last season, and have now increased their investment and presence to include car, driver and crew branding. Further, Lassonde and the Oasis brand have a strong national activation plan which will feature Alex and his Barracuda Networks #98.

“Lassonde is particularly proud to support talent such as that of Alexandre Tagliani,” said Mr. Pierre L’Heureux, Executive Vice-President and Managing Director, Sales Administration, Marketing and R&D at A. Lassonde Inc. “Through his determination, perseverance and healthy lifestyle, Tagis the ideal athlete to represent Oasis brand values across North America.”

In order to highlight this partnership, Lassonde will reach out to consumers through a nationwide promotional campaign, created in collaboration with Tetra Pak and the Couche-Tard network. This campaign will run in stores and through social media from May to June 2013. It will offer Canadian consumers, who participate via SMS, a chance to win several prizes, including one of four VIP weekends for two to attend the IndyCar race in Toronto, on July 13 and 14, as well as a Honda Civic Si 2013.

Barracuda Racing team owner Bryan Herta expressed his support of the new sponsorship, saying, “Lassonde and Oasis have been very strong supporters of Alex and we are very happy to welcome them onboard as a sponsor of the Barracuda Networks car this season. We look forward to working together to increase brand awareness and support the retail promotional program in conjunction with Tetra Pak and Couche-Tard. And most of all, look forward to giving Alex the tools he needs to put these great brands in the winner’s circle.”

The No. 98 Barracuda Racing car is on track today and includes a prominent Oasis logo for the first time. In just two weeks, Tagliani will race on the streets of St. Petersburg, FL at the IZOD IndyCar Series season opener on March 24.
