“Female Sensation Prepares For New Track; New Opportunity”

LOWVILLE, New York (July 26, 2007) - - NASCAR Busch East Series (NBES) rookie Michelle Theriault is not sure what to expect this weekend at Adirondack International Speedway (AIS), but she’s leaning towards a recent test session at the New York track to propel her towards a strong run on Saturday night.

Theriault, aboard the No. 37 GLOCK, Inc. Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS prepared by Spraker Racing Enterprises spent a day testing at the track following the NBES event at Thompson International Speedway. While Theriault calls the test a success, she knows the race will probably be one of the most competitive yet this season.

“ Adirondack is very unique, that’s the best way to describe it,” said the 21-year old Rookie-of-the-Year candidate. “I am very glad that we tested. The track is like nothing that I’ve ever competed. You’re racing in a constant turn and that’s very unique. I’ve heard the races are pretty exciting and intense, I can see why. We just hope to utilize the notes from the test and hope to unload strong and competitive while eyeing a top-10 run.”

The only full time female NASCAR driver also knows that the experience of her Spraker Racing Enterprises team led by Jeff Spraker will make a huge difference in the strategy of the race.

“Experience is everything in racing and I’m lucky to be surrounded by a great bunch like Jeff Spraker and my guys. They have a lot of experience in racing and that’s crucial especially for a rookie driver. I think we’ve learned a lot this season and we still have a ton of racing and learning left to do. But right now, we’re concentrating on Adirondack . If we play our cards right this weekend, we can make up a lot of ground in the championship standings. We just need to qualify well, stay out of trouble and reel in a good finish. I know we have the capabilities of doing just that.”

Theriault enters Adirondack on the heels of her NBES debut at the Motor City Motorplex last weekend in Nashville , Tennessee . Theriault finished 13th after starting 18th. Theriault knows she cannot use the same driving style this weekend as she did last.

“ Nashville and Adirondack are night and day. Nashville is a track that fits my driving style and Adirondack leaves little margin for error. I am really going to have to pay attention and log as many laps as I can in practice, because I think that will be beneficial for us during the race. Our Spraker Racing Enterprises team has been able to conquer some of the more difficult obstacles handed to us.”

With her solid run last Sunday night, Theriault gained one position in the NBES point standings retaining the 14th position and sitting just two points from 13th place competitor Ruben Pardo. She is just 118 markers from marching her way into the top-10.

“It’s a good feeling that we gained a spot in the championship standings,” offered Theriault. “Our goal is to dig deep and try and put ourselves in the top-10 by the end of the year. If we can keep doing what we are doing and notch as many top-10 efforts as possible, our task should be easily completed.”

The Edge Hotel 150 presented by Casella Waste Systems (150 laps/89.40 miles) is the ninth of 14 events on the 2007 NASCAR Busch East Series schedule. Practice begins Saturday, July 28th beginning at 12:00pm. Qualifying is set for later in the day commencing at 4:15pm Local Time. The green flag will waive later in the evening shortly after 6:30 pm Local Time.
