TALLADEGA, Alabama (October 4, 2007) - - Officials from Spraker Racing Enterprises and BlackJack Racing jointly announced this morning that GLOCK will take over as the primary supporter of Dexter Bean’s No. 6 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in this afternoon’s ARCA RE/MAX 250 from Talladega Superspeedway.
Team GLOCK which recently completed a full NASCAR Busch East Series schedule with Michelle Theriault returned to the ARCA RE/MAX Series this week with racecar driver Kerry Earnhardt. Unfortunately, Earnhardt’s lap in yesterday’s ARCA SIM Factory qualifying was 34th fastest missing a guaranteed starting position by two.
Bean will roll off for his third career Talladega ARCA start from the 33rd position.
“I’m excited about having GLOCK aboard for today’s race. We didn’t have the qualifying run we were hoping for yesterday, but we are confident that our car will draft to the front and we will be in contention to score our third consecutive top-10 finish at Talladega Superspeedway for GLOCK.”
In final practice (Happy Hour) this morning, Bean soared the Five Star Telecom-Team GLOCK-Cycle Country Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS to the fourth fastest lap producing a speed of over 187 MPH.
The ARCA RE/MAX 250 (94 laps/250 miles) is the 22nd of 23 races on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The 45th ARCA race held at Talladega Superspeedway will take the green flag on October 5 shortly after 4:00pm Local Time. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional race coverage online at arcaracing.com.
