“One Of ARCA’s Top-Powerhouse Teams Ready For Another Memorable Season”

LAKEVILLE, Minnesota (February 2, 2008) – - A new season. A new name. Same determination. With the 2008 racing season quickly approaching one of the most respected ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) organizations announced that effectively immediately that the operation formally known as Country Joe Racing will become Win-Tron Racing (WTR).

Win-Tron Racing will take on its second full year of ownership in the ARCA RE/MAX Series under the ownership of business partners Kevin Cywinski and Nate Thiesse. Win-Tron Racing signifies the new partner’s commitment to its already successful ARS Driver Development program. With the exceptional track record the team showed last season, a duplicate performance in 2008 is highly anticipated. “We had a superb season last year,” noted Thiesse, who’s No. 32 organization grabbed one win, five top-fives, 10 top-10 efforts and one ARCA SIM Factory pole in 23 events last year.

Grabbing the new team name wasn’t hard as the banner of the organization utilizes significance to each partner. “Win” comes from three letters of Cywinski’s last name with “Tron” unveiling under Thiesse’s nickname of “Natron.” The combination of the two entities forms Win-Tron Racing.

The newly renamed team may be just a new signage of the two-time ARCA RE/MAX Series Rookie-of-the-Year operation, but it also continues the long-lasting racing relationship of Cywinski and Thiesse. Cywinski a three-time National Champion in the American Speed Association (ASA) met Thiesse for the first time when he returned to ASA in 2000 after successful runs in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and Nationwide Series. As the ASA team engineer, Thiesse worked close with Cywinski and crew chief Mike Chaffee which built the foundation for several great friendships not to mention a championship caliber race team.

As former Product Development Manager at QA1-Carrera Racing Shocks, Thiesse facilitates the day-to-day business as Vice President of Operations. Cywinski, who carries the title of Vice President of Competition, leads the shop activity, in addition heads up the driver development program as driving coach.

With the behind the scenes material complete, big plans are on the horizon for WTR in 2008. The team will return to ARCA with drivers Dominick Casola and James Buescher. Casola will lead the team beginning in Daytona. Win-Tron Racing also expects a second team (No. 9 Dodge Charger) to invade the 56-year old tour at some point during the year. In addition, Win-Tron Racing will also host a full-time United Speed Alliance Racing (USAR) Hooter’s Pro Cup effort with Matt Merrell at the helm.

“It’s been a busy off-season for our organization,” sounded Thiesse. “It’s nice to return to racing in a couple weeks with our team upbeat, drivers locked and cars ready to go. Our performance won’t miss a beat this year, we’re just anxious to get back to the track. Dominick Casola tested very well with our ARCA program in Daytona last December and to have James Buescher back is a huge plus. We’re aiming towards an owner’s championship this year in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and we strongly believe we can make it happen.”
