MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (December 11, 2007) - - Mooresville, North Carolina based Andy Belmont Racing (ABR) announced today that ARCA newcomer Jacob Francis will pilot the team’s second entry in the first six 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series events beginning at Daytona International Speedway with a full schedule on the table further pending sponsorship. Francis hopes to run for the coveted ARCA REMAX Series Rookie-of-the-Year honors as well.

Francis made his ARCA RE/MAX Series debut at the Milwaukee Mile this past August with smashing results. After qualifying mid-pack, Francis used his veteran short track skills to produce a very strong 12th place finish. From there, Francis attempted with the guidance of Belmont to make his second career start in the season finale at Toledo Speedway only to fall victim to a tire failure during practice and unfortunately erased the chances of making his second career start.

Now with ’08 plans finalized, Francis now steers toward making his 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series season a memorable one.

“I’m very excited to be apart of Andy Belmont Racing,” said Francis, a native of Leroy , Ohio . “I was introduced to Andy last year and we immediately clicked. I watched his operation very closely this season and to now be apart of it, is a dream come true. I’m really looking forward to next year.”

Belmont is equally excited about having a young-encouraging driver like Francis behind the wheel of his racecars.

“Jacob Francis is a good racecar driver and I feel with the right equipment, support and determination he will show everyone what he really is made of. He’s been impressive in his late model ventures and there is no doubt in my mind that he’ll continue to bring that outlook over to ARCA. He is very willing and very eager to learn and as a car owner that’s a good feeling. We’re excited about having Jacob aboard and we’re looking forward to a great year,” offered Belmont, who holds 184 ARCA RE/MAX Series starts to his credit.

ABR also announced that Francis will be piloting the No. 14 Ford Fusion next season. The team will replace the 14 from the team’s No. 62 which netted two victories this season in ARCA. “The No. 14 has a great meaning to me and we’re looking forward to bringing it back to life next year,” added Belmont .

The team has secured sponsorship for Francis’s entry and will make an announcement in the near future. ABR also announced that Francis Engineering will provide the horsepower for the No. 14 beginning with the series second event at Salem Speedway.

Francis will waste no time getting ready for 2008 and will join the two-car operation at Daytona International Speedway next weekend (December 14, 15 and 16) for the three day pre-season test. “I am looking forward to next weekend. I’ve never been to Daytona before, but I’m excited to be attending with Andy Belmont Racing. The team’s restrictor plate program was very strong at Talladega and everyone has the same confidence that we can go to Daytona and be even better. This is a dream come true.”

Francis and ABR will continue pre-season testing in preparation for the ARCA 200 at Daytona International Speedway on February 9, 2008 with a private test at Talladega Superspeedway in January.
