Every 52 minutes in America, someone is killed in a drunk driving crash. And, for every preventable drunk driving death — 10,076 in 2013 alone — exponentially more lives are forever changed by the loss of a parent, child, friend, or loved one to these preventable tragedies.
But on December 30th, just before America rings in the New Year, a single tweet could help save lives. That’s because NHTSA will hold a Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving Twitter Chat during which you can question our experts, spread the word to your followers, and encourage them to take the pledge not to drive while buzzed. We’ve also got terrific videos, banners, and other tools you can use to help spread this lifesaving message far and wide.
Who: NHTSA and our team of experts
What: Drunk Driving Prevention Twitter Chat (follow along at #buzzeddriving)
When: Tuesday, December 30, 3pm to 4pm Eastern
Where: www.twitter.com/NHTSAgov

Feel free to mention @NHTSAGov in any of your tweets and NHTSA will get back to as many of your questions or comments as they can!
