Just to whet your need for speed. Everyday Toyota models have been transformed into petrolhead dreams at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas this week, the world’s largest gathering for the after-market and customisation business. And when it comes to the “hottest compact ride,” the GT86 – alias the US-branded Scion FR-S – has retained the title it earned on its 2012 debut, as voted for by industry experts at the show.
The judges certainly had plenty to whet their appetite, as four specially kitted and tuned coupes are on display, ranging from a racing prototype packing more than 750bhp to a music-themed version originated by star DJ and producer Steve Aoki.
