Bentley Add ‘S’ - For Superlative?

The current range of sporting grand tourers from Bentley, should you be sufficiently well-heeled to afford one, have just been given a extra lease of life by the addition of an ‘S’. Obviously, a little more than that has gone into making these already stylish, luxury coupe & convertible models even more performance orientated.

The latest versions are said to be sleeker, faster and more responsive to driver input. The chassis has been lowered and uprated and the twin-turbo V8 pumps out a not inconsiderable 521bhp and 502lb.ft of torque. This is probably sufficient. Bentley say that this car, now with a more efficient engine, will do a full five hundred miles on a thankful. The fact that the tank is probably about the same size as my house is neither here nor there. If you can afford this car, frugality won’t be a concern to you.

Life is about taking chances. Some of you will invent something, or win the lottery or whatever and you will be able to buy one of these cars and you would be right. There are few finer GTs on the market.
