July 1, 2011
Dear SAN Member:
The second annual Collector Car Appreciation Day is only one week away! Slated for Friday, July 8, 2011, and designated by U.S. Senate Resolution 154, this celebration was undertaken by your SEMA Action Network (SAN) representatives in Washington, D.C. as a means to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. As the date quickly approaches, events, car shows, and cruises are being planned nationwide, and we want to remind you to get out and celebrate.
If you are hosting or participating in an event on July 8, 9, or 10, have fun and take pictures! The SAN is compiling a photo diary of the event that will be posted online. Photos may also be used in the SAN's monthly newsletter, Driving Force, in SEMA's publications or in literature to promote this recognition of our great American hobby.
If you still don't have plans for this year's Collector Car Appreciation Day, a list of events happening around the country can be found at www.SEMASAN.com/CollectorCarAppreciationDay.
Please remember to send your event photos (including info on where and when the photos were taken) to Ashley Ailsworth at ashleya@sema.org
Happy Collector Car Appreciation Day!
