CONCORD, North Carolina (June 21, 2013) - - With a brief break from competition in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS), Taylor Stricklin, son of former NASCAR driver Hut Stricklin and grandson of NASCAR legend Donnie Allison will attend Saturday’s Faith, Family and Freedom Festival at ZMax Dragway.

Stricklin will attend the festival on behalf of his sponsor, Tyndall Pedic Mattress, who is a sponsor of the event presented by New Life 91.9 FM. In addition to Stricklin signing autographs for attendees, the No. 7 Tyndall Pedic Mattress Chevrolet Impala will also be on display.

“This is a great opportunity for me to attend a huge event on behalf of Tyndall Pedic Mattress,” said Stricklin, who plans to return to NWAAS competition next month. “I always look forward at the opportunity to meet new people and hopefully, if they aren’t already race fans, this is a chance to make them one.”

Since his last NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway earlier this month, the 24-year old vigorously has been working on his race car, striving to get an advantage that will put his No. 7 Tyndall Pedic Mattress Chevrolet in contention for a victory.

“We didn’t have the best of luck at Caraway earlier this month,” offered Stricklin. “We had a good car. We were working on it and were going to have a solid finish. Unfortunately, we were collected in an accident and it put us out of the race and a little behind.”

He added, “Working on a limited budget right now, we’re picking and choosing our battles. Our main goal was to get our car put back together and then get after it again with hopes we can gain some attention. The local divisions are tough right now, so we need to do everything in our power to make sure we’re as competitive as possible.”

The Faith, Family and Freedom Festival presented by New Life 91.9 FM is set for Saturday, June 22. The event will open to the public at 4:00 p.m. with a $5.00 admission. The Festival will conclude with a Fireworks extravaganza.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available for the remainder of the 2013 season. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Ashley Jones of Taylor Stricklin Racing at ashley@taylorstricklin.com.
