I've been running Speedmonkey since the summer of 2012. During that time I've driven hundreds of cars in many varied locations.
I've stayed in posh hotels, driven performance cars on race tracks and classics on flowing roads, eaten fine food and fulfilled more of my boyhood dreams than I dared imagine.
I've driven several versions of my ultimate dream car - the Porsche 911 - and I've driven some cars that should have been good but weren't.
I've driven Maseratis, Jaguars, Rolls Royces, Range Rovers, Mercedes-Benzes, BMWs, Audis, Morgans, Bentleys, Porsches, Lotuses and a Radical.
I've driven the Top Gear test track, Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, the Lotus test track at Hethel and many other smaller handling circuits.
I've been surprised at how good some modern cars are and I've not been surprised how good some classic cars have been.
I've met some great people and formed some great friendships. I've come to understand the car industry and what motivates people in it.
Speedmonkey has been an amazing success and punched well above its weight (how, I don't know). I could have grown it more but wasn't prepared to commit yet more time to do so.
But now I'm going to end it. I want to spend more time doing things with family and friends rather than thinking about what I should write about next.
I'm getting a new car of my own for the first time in my life and this has had a bearing on this decision too. You could call Speedmonkey the longest ever test drive with the winner being the Volvo XC60. Once it arrives I want to drive that rather than anything else.
I'm semi-retiring because I may end up writing some blogs but I'll do it in my own good time, and it won't just be on the subject of cars.
I'll keep the Twitter and Facebook pages going and will perhaps post the odd video on the YouTube page. But don't expect anything regular on www.speedmonkey.co.uk
