MID-AMERICAN REACHES ANOTHER MILESTONE

FORT ATKINSON, Wis. (March 3rd, 2013) – Co-owners of MASCS Doug and Julie Strasburg are excited about the prospective roster for the 1st season of the third decade of MASCS. The list of 2013 Mid-American Stock Car Series Driver Members is getting longer as the first race is just weeks away. Roster in this article will be perpetually updated with a new “as of” date.

22 drivers have taken advantage of purchasing an early Mid-American Stock Car Series membership. Member advantages include: receiving race event awards, eligibility to receive point funds at the Awards banquet at seasons end, becoming a Rookie of the Year contender and receive subsequent rookie awards at the banquet, eligibility for the Sportsman of the Year Award, for the huge product and prize drawings including the B&B Racing Engines intake to pan engine and Miller Electric welders at the Awards Banquet and various discounts including entry fees and banquet tickets.

Hoosier Tire and Mid-American will continue a twenty one year relationship with the tried and true 8” F-75 racing tire. With many Wisconsin tracks switching to the Hoosier brand 800S tire for 2013, Mid-American will allow the tire to compete and will be scanned and recorded the same as the F-75. The official Hoosier distributor this year is Hoosier Tire North in Rogers, MN. Teams may contact Hoosier North with their needs and questions. Ultimately, all Mid-Am inventory in Wisconsin and Minnesota will filter through them. They will be working with three contacts here in Wisconsin to help service Mid-American. Bud Collar has also become a big part of Mid-American with RACE COMM. Bud has been efficiently and faithfully supplying and servicing the Series radio, scanner and Raceceiver needs. RACE COMM also contributes a crew radio/headset at each banquet to the Rookie as well as the “pink” scanner headset to Mid-American’s WOMA draw winner at the banquet.

Bud will follow our schedule again this season with the exceptions of Hawkeye Downs, Grundy and Elko. The series will kick off its 21st season at the 36th Annual Spring Classic at historic Rockford Speedway on Sunday, April 14.
