It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Powell. None of us will forget the flamboyant Powell and his pre-race routine. He was a big part of the show of racing throughout the Midwest. Tom was a class act!

Please pray for his family and friends as we struggle with his passing. I know God comforts and right now we need His strength and comfort.

Briefly I know there are three things Tom’s unexpected passing reminds us about. 1) Make sure you are right with God. That being “right with God” is on His, God’s, terms not ours. 2) Make sure you are prepared. Make an effort to please God and think of others first. Have a plan that today is the only “today” we have no matter if there are many today’s left in your life or just this one. 3) Make every day count for God. Love your family. Say it to them. Act it out. Be real about it.
