September 2, 2006; Francis Creek, WI - Jeff Tisler, Reedsville, WI, registered his first career Mid-American Series feature win in dominating style Saturday night at the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, WI.

With only one caution to slow proceedings in the 50 lap Mid-Am headliner, Tisler was able to blow away the field by nearly half a lap. After grabbing second from Todd Mott, Two Rivers, WI, on the fifth lap, he moved in on leader Dennis Rabas, Maribel, WI, eight laps later.

Pulling even on the outside, Tisler edged ahead and took over the point just one lap later. His first attempt at a runaway stalled on lap 20 as series regulars Jake Finney, Sycamore, IL, and Scott Null, Lake Mills, WI, got together in the third turn.

After that, it was the last the field saw of Tisler. Defending series champ Bill Prietzel, Richfield,WI, worked his way to second on the 23rd lap followed by Daryl Gerke, Whitelaw, WI. Gerke eventually grabbed second with an outside pass on Prietzel with seven to go, but he had no chance at reeling in Tisler.

The win was the second in a row at the Speedway for Tisler, and his third of the season. Behind the lead trio, Kevin Damrow, Manitowoc, WI, charged from his 8th row starting spot to take fourth with Jimbo Schleis, Manitowoc, WI, fifth. Travis Rodewald, Manitowoc, WI, who made the feature with a last corner pass for the final transfer spot in the last chance qualifier, came from the back of the pack to sixth.

Point leader, James Swan, Lake Geneva, WI, gave up a few points of his advantage as he was forced to retire prematurely with mechanical difficulties. Point runner up, George Schultz, Bristol, WI, had to take a provisional to qualify for the feature and managed a respectable eighth place finish.
