On this weekend and hopefully each day we should be finding and thanking those that serve and have served this country. No matter what we think of the Tuesday election we still have more freedom than most countries and for sure we live with more entertainment, better housing and utilities, more access to food and personal wealth (money) than most. Much of that is due to those that put their life on the line and fought for the nation.

I, we, say a big Thank you to each man and woman that has served, is serving and will serve.

As I think about this weekend I am reminded of this verse. Let’s reflect on it for a moment. Revelation 17:14 They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings-and with Him will be His called, chosen and faithful followers." (NIV 1984) Do you see the ties to soldiers? The Lamb is Jesus. We see that there is a victory which means there are ones that are not. Which side will you be on? Jesus wins the victory. You can either be for or against Jesus. You either know Him as LORD or not. You either accept Him as LORD God or not. Please make the right choice whose army you will be in.

The second part of this verse I have thought about is Jesus is Lord and King. He is the true commander and chief and worthy to be followed.We need to look to Him and obey Him. That does mean to honor those in office and to be praying for them.
