RANDLEMAN, North Carolina (July 3, 2012) - - One of his biggest races of the year awaits Ryan Wilson (@RyanWilson12) and his Ryan Wilson Motorsports (RWM) team. Tomorrow, July 4th, otherwise known as Independence Day for the United States marks the yearly tradition of enjoying our freedom but also an opportune time to give thanks to the Armed Forces whom have made the independence possible.

While cookouts and fireworks will be of the norm, the RWM team will join a gaggle full of race cars at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway to partake in the annual Rusty Harpe Memorial 200 vying for their second win of the 2012 racing season.

The 200-lap race is expected to produce fireworks of its own with drivers expected to race hard and do their due-diligence in order to capture the checkered flag under the nights.

For the Holiday race, the team will feature a new paint scheme designed by 11-year old Trever Phillips of Asheboro, North Carolina. The team’s Toyota Camry will stand out in the traditional red, white and blue colors with patriotic stars shooting from all angles of the No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry.

Phillips will be in attendance with his grandparents as he was the winner of the second-annual “Design the Ride” contest, a joint-effort between RWM and Randolph Bank.

“Trever did a great job with the layout, I was impressed,” said Wilson. “It’s very different, but still very patriotic and we’re all really happy with the way our car looks for the race. It will stand out in the race for sure.”

When asked about his tactic for tomorrow night’s 200-lap event, Wilson replied, “You just have to be there when it counts. We’ve had fast cars all season long, but this is a 200-lap race, anything can happen. So patience will be of the essence. We tested there and we’re confident with what we learned, we can make our car even better and have a good showing for our sponsors and everyone else that will be in attendance.”

Mike Whitehead, President of Randolph Bank offered his thoughts on tomorrow’s festivities. “We cannot begin to express how thrilled Randolph Bank is to be a part of the Fourth of July race at Caraway Speedway. The overwhelming response from the Design the Ride contest has brought a lot of hype for all of our staff and customers who plan to watch Ryan and the team race Wednesday night. The car looks great and we’re hoping that the team can bring home the checkered flag for the second time this season.”

Action begins at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4 with an on-track autograph session set for 7:15 p.m. The NASCAR Whelen-All American Series will be one of four divisions competing at the historic track.

In addition to Randolph Bank, Southern Pharmacy Services will continue its role as a sponsor for the family-owned team in their ninth race of the year.
