POCONO, Pennsylvania (June 6, 2012) - - Will Kimmel and his Kimmel Racing team head to Pocono (Pa.) Raceway this weekend for the running of the Pocono ARCA 200 looking to surge their No. 68 Kimmel Racing Ford Fusion back into the spotlight at the newly repaved triangle.

The 2.5-mile triangle, otherwise known as the “tricky triangle” has received a complete facelift since the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards raced their last August and with its new racing surface offering incredible speed, Kimmel along with a majority of the ARCA garage are anxious to get on track Friday morning.

When the green flag waives for the seventh race of the season, the 24-year old hopes that during the 80-lap contest that the switch will be flipped and the family-owned team will be able to conquer the track in his sixth start of the season.

Overall, the young-gun has three starts at the Long Pond racetrack tapping a personal best of 12th last August after starting 17th. While sponsorship dollars have kept the talented driver from tackling the full ARCA Racing Series tour, Kimmel knows that when the opportunity arises for him to run a whole race, he must use it to his fullest advantage.

“There are a lot of unknowns going into Pocono this weekend, so I expect a very exciting race but we’ve shined in crapshoots races this season like Daytona and Talladega in particular,” offered Kimmel. “Right now, we don’t have anything on the car, so she’s going bare. We’re hoping to turn some heads with a good run. Maybe something will materialize from that and we will keep going, but in the meantime, we’ll keep digging and race when we can and more importantly race well.”

As far as the race is concerned this weekend, Kimmel can’t give a full analysis of what to expect until the first practice is complete. “I think the rule package is going to keep the field tight and I’m not sure what to expect from the track right away. In the past, it’s been a blast, we’ll see. ARCA is giving us a final practice after qualifying on Friday afternoon and I’m sure a lot of the teams including us will decide whether or not we’ll get back out there depending on our comfort level from Friday morning.”

When Kimmel isn’t behind the wheel of the No. 68 Kimmel Racing Ford Fusion, the Sellersburg, Indiana native is busting his hump with his full service lawn care business which serves several surrounding cities and includes both business and residential clients.

“It keeps me busy, that’s for sure,” Kimmel explained. “From the moment the sun rises until it begins to set it seems like I’m out there hard at it. It’s a lot of work – but it helps out with stuff that we need in the shop. The family’s real supportive so that makes things a lot easier to deal with.”
