OREGON, Wisconsin (August 24, 2012) - - With one goal complete and one to go, Josh Williams and his Josh Williams Motorsports (JWM) team will look towards Sunday’s Herr’s Live Life with Flavors 200 at Madison (Wisc.) International Speedway in order to help making that second goal becomes a reality.

After moving back into the top-10 in the ARCA Racing Series championship standings following the team’s top-20 performance last weekend at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, the family-owned team now thrives on buckling down and putting together as many top-10 finishes as possible in the remaining four races left on the tour.

With stops at Madison, DuQuoin, Salem and Kansas left on the calendar, the team is optimistic about adding four more top-10 runs to their scorecard before focusing their efforts towards the 2013 season.

Even though the Concord, North Carolina-based team will visit a new track for the 10th time this season in Sunday’s anticipated showdown, the team believes that with a little luck, they’ll be to score their fourth top-10 run of the season.

“I’m not sure what to really expect at Madison this weekend, I’m just hoping we can go there and have a productive weekend,” said Josh Williams, driver of the No. 02 Southwest Florida Cable Construction Ford Fusion. “Even though our finishes haven’t exactly shown for it as of late, we’ve run well and competitive; we just can’t seem to catch a break that will allow us to finish in the top-10. We’re not going to give up; we’re just going to keep digging, like we have all year long.”

Talking about strategy for Sunday’s anticipated thriller, Williams knows that he’ll have to keep the fenders intact but more than likely have to stay cautiously-aggressive in order to have a shot at returning to the top-10 for the first time since June.

“I think you’re going to have to be on the defense on Sunday,” Williams sounded. “It’s going to be important to stay on the lead lap and be as competitive as you can be. I don’t know much about the track, so we’ll have an hour and a half to get our game on before qualifying. We have to use practice and qualifying to our advantage and look to just improve our learning curve at Madison as activity on the track presses on. Giving up is not an option in our dictionary and we look to put that in full affect when the green flag drops.”

Despite carrying little sponsorship this season, the JWM has marched on through the odds and Williams is undoubtedly realizing the sacrifices that are being made in order for his dream to be lived out.

“Without my Mom or Dad, we would not be where we are today and I have yet (nor will I ever) to forget that,” he explained. “I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me and the guys on this team. I refuse to let them down and I’m going to keep doing what I’ve been doing all year long and that’s giving nothing less than 100 percent behind the wheel.”

The Herr’s Live Life with Flavors 200 (200 laps / 100 miles) is the 17th of 20 events on the 2012 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The fourth-ever ARCA event held at Madison International Speedway is a two-day show. Practice begins Saturday, August 25 with a forty-five minute practice session planned from 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. A final practice is scheduled from 2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Menards pole qualifying presented by Ansell is set for later in the day slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. The event will take the green flag on Sunday, August 26 shortly after 2:00 p.m. The race will not be televised but additional coverage including a radio broadcast and timing and scoring will be available through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com. All times are local (Central).
