LONG POND, Pennsylvania (August 7, 2011) - - Chad Hackenbracht and his CGH Motorsports team rebounded nicely Sunday morning in the postponed Pennsylvania ARCA 125 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway to collect their seventh top-10 of the year in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

Hackenbracht entered the track nicknamed the “Tricky Triangle” on the strength of three previous starts at the 2.5-mile speedway including a track best of seventh just two months prior to the 13th race of the season.

With a solid practice effort complete and Hackenbracht lined up 12th in the starting grid, the CGH Motorsports team was readily prepared for the green flag. Mother Nature however would have alternative motives. Heavy rainfall began shortly after 1:00 p.m. and with no immediate relief in sight, officials from ARCA and Pocono (Pa.) Raceway elected to postpone the race until after the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series dash, which was also delayed until Sunday morning.

The green flag finally dropped shortly after 10:00 a.m. with Hackenbracht on a mission. Rocketing into the top-10 by the completion of the first lap, his progress would be stalled when a melee broke out on lap two entering turn one. Sitting sixth on the grid, the 19-year old seemed happy with his racecar. With racing finally resuming on lap 13, Hackenbracht brilliantly climbed his No. 58 Tastee Apples Chevrolet Impala SS into the top-five.

Two laps later, the New Philadelphia, Ohio native continued his mission towards the front where he climbed into the fourth position. Five laps later, the rising star found himself sitting third and in the trenches of the leaders.

A few laps later, Hackenbracht informed crew chief Kevin Reed that his machine was loose and pushing bad in the tunnel turn. An opportune caution on lap 27 allowed Reed to bring his protégé to pit road where four tires, fuel and a chassis adjustment to tighten up the No. 58 Tastee Apples Chevrolet Impala SS,

Racing resumed on lap 31 with Hackenbracht in sixth but the caution flag soon waved again as two cars collided which slowed the field with the laps dwindling down. Able to restart fifth on lap 35, Hackenbracht would give a gallant effort to maintain a position inside the top-five but as the race began to come to a close, the handling of the No. 58 Tastee Apples Chevrolet Impala SS changed considerably which dropped him to the seventh position by lap 40.

Able to maneuver past the No. 6 for sixth on lap 43, Hackenbracht was unable to fend off a hard-charging Max Gresham and fell back to seventh with four laps remaining. Giving all he could, Hackenbracht kissed the wall in turn two on lap 48 but maintained his position on the race track. Nearly 20 hours later than originally anticipated, Hackenbracht took the checkered flag in the seventh position – tying his finish in the Pocono ARCA 200 in June.

“We had a good car today, we may have over-adjusted the car on the pit stop and it might have hurt our finishing position,” said Hackenbracht, who made his career 21st ARCA start on Sunday. “Our car was a rocket ship at the start of the race, but as the race went on, our car became loose. We made an adjustment and it didn’t work like we thought it would. That’s just part of the guessing game in racing. It’s a nice rebound from our misfortune last week at Lucas Oil Raceway, so we’ll just stay positive and go to Springfield, have some fun and hope for a good finish.”

With his effort on Sunday, Hackenbracht maintains eighth in the championship standings and is trailing Tom Hessert III by a mere 70 points for seventh.

Next up for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is the first of two dirt races of the season. The 14th race of the year steers the teams to Illinois before landing at the Illinois State Fairgrounds (Springfield) for the running of the Allen Crowe 100 set for Sunday, August 21. Hackenbracht and his family-owned team will make their inaugural debut together on the dirt-paved one mile oval.

CGH Motorsports Pocono (Pa.) Raceway Weekend Notes:

· Chad Hackenbracht paced the 11th fastest time in the lone practice session on Friday afternoon at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. Ironically, it was the same spot the team captured in practice in June.

· In qualifying, Hackenbracht posted the 12th quickest time overall, picking up nearly a second from his fastest lap in practice earlier in the day. The effort was the sixth consecutive event where the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team qualified in the top-15.

· Hackenbracht continues to receive advice and mentoring from former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday including at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway.
