CGH Motorsports Plants New Foundation; Preparing For Future With Two-Car Team

MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (July 24, 2011) - - Officials from CGH Motorsports, a full-time competitor in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards announced today that the Mooresville, North Carolina-based team is building a new foundation that will allow the family-owned team to accelerate to a multi-car team under the CGH Motorsports Driver Development banner.
Armed with personnel that range in experience from management to marketing and even public relations, CGH Motorsports’ new platform will not only focus on the development and path of the team’s primary No. 58 CGH Motorsports Chevrolet Impala SS entry but also a second entry that will be available to launch later this year.
“We want CGH Motorsports to be a long-time fixture not only in the ARCA Racing Series but the Motorsports industry in general,” said CGH Motorsports owner Greg Hackenbracht. “We’ve been talking about expanding our program for a while now and with the people and equipment that we now have in place, it just seems right.”
Leading the CGH Motorsports Driver Development brigade will be several key members of the already existing operation. Kevin Reed, director of competition will oversee the program with crew chief Rob Torrey assisting. Jordan Dahl will drive the marketing and hospitality angles with Chris Knight covering the role as director of communications.
Reed joined CGH Motorsports in February 2011 and has been instrumental in the quick enhancement of the team’s primary program this year with New Philadelphia, Ohio native Chad Hackenbracht at the helm. Reed was the 2010 ARCA Racing Series crew chief of the year with rookie Mikey Kile.
Dahl conducts the role as team manager and director of marketing. The Wisconsin native’s experience and dwellings in NASCAR have been his presence with the CGH Motorsports team in ARCA attractable.
“We’ll be ready to add new personnel as our new program grows,” offered Dahl. “While our primary focus and attention is on Chad (Hackenbracht), CGH Motorsports wants to open that door to other young and talented drivers; making them aware that with hard work and dedication that dreams do come true.”
In addition to a second-car team, CGH Motorsports will also offer enhancement support for their driver and crew in the arenas of physical fitness, pit practice, training and various coaching roles that will support the team’s initiative.
